As part of the "Night Lamp" festival, we proposed lighting design for the Neve Sha'anan pedestrian mall. The lighting design we proposed is playful, colorful and uses home lighting fixtures to illuminate the public space. The use of lighting lampshades, which differ in color and size, produces a design with an eclectic and homely character.

LIGHTING DESIGN

The use of home lighting fixtures invites a unique and different move for those walking on the pedestrian mall. The design seeks to momentarily transform the public space into one that invites to stay, wander and new discoveries of light, color and shape. Street lighting, which is usually used for the purposes of a dry function only and often serves the passengers in the car and not the pedestrians, turns in the proposal into a major element and invites passers-by to a home experience in the public space.
